What Are All Mountain Skis?
All mountain skis are designed for skiers who enjoy a mixture of on-piste and off-piste skiing. With a combination of features that you can find in both carving skis and powder skis, this category is the most versatile and all-purpose-driven ski segment. Within our selection, you will find models suitable for groomed slopes and others aimed closer to backcountry conditions.
On our website, you will notice that it is possible to search by gender. Women's all mountain skis are designed differently from men’s all mountain skis. The two main differences are that women’s skis are less stiff and the mounting points are further forwards. This is because the average woman has a lower center of gravity and is lighter than the average man.
What Length Should My All Mountain Skis Be?
As a starting point, the length of your skis should fall somewhere between your chin and the top of your head when they stand beside you. Your weight and ski ability will determine whether the ski length is closer to your chin or the top of your head. Heavier and/or experienced skiers will suit the longer skis, lighter and/or beginner skiers will suit shorter skis.
The Width of All Mountain Skis
The waist width measures how wide the narrowest point of the ski is. Most all mountain skis have a waist width between 80 - 100 mm. The smaller the number, the better it will perform on-piste. The bigger the number, the better it will perform off-piste. Deciding which ski width suits your skiing habits is a great place to start when buying all mountain skis.

And don't forget protections! Nowadays, more and more ski resorts require skiers to wear a ski helmet: check our collection in the Ski Helmet category.
