Although the Shock Sleeve Pro Knee Gasket from Ennui may not offer the same degree of protection as a thickly padded, hard-cap protector, it certainly compensates by allowing unrestricted movement during your action sport.
Internally, a stretchy knitted cotton sleeve is equipped with silicone strips to prevent slipping, ensuring a snug fit and keeping the pads securely in place at all times. These pads incorporate the uniquely developed material - SPC - a collaborative creation by the development team at Ennui/Powerslide and the experts at MyFit, who produce skate liners for Powerslide.
This material not only absorbs the force of impact but also helps to distribute it across the construction - Minimising the impact on your joints as much as possible. The Pro version includes an abrasion-resistant Kevlar coating, offering more flexible comfort and protection than the non-pro version and enabling even greater freedom of movement.
A notable advantage of this soft-shell protection is both its light weight and the ability to discreetly wear it underneath your normal clothing - Allowing you to look stylish while being fully protected.
Apart from crash protection, the pro version also safeguards against slides with its high abrasion-resistant Aramid fibre cover. It's a smart choice for downhill longboarders and speed skaters. The pro model is also slightly lighter than the non-pro version, weighing almost nothing.
