The E109 cross country skis are extra wide meaning that these skis are perfect for off track skiing.

Besides that, these cross country skis for the backcountry have the Easy Skin possibility. It means that these skis are prepared for attaching skins (skins are sold separately) in the middle of the base in a very easy way. No tools or glue are needed - and you don't have to spend time on kick waxing your skis. The Easy Skin solution provides you with a firm and solid grip in the snow.

Along the entire edges of the skis, there is a steel edge to give you good connection in various snow conditions in the backcountry. So these Fischer E109 Easy Skin Xtralite are proper skis for your off track backcountry adventures.

Recommended ski length: Skier's length + app. 25cm

Excellent skis. These are replacing my 20 year old 200 cm Asnes Nansen LM1. In the 5 weeks that I have had these new E109 skis, I have been out 15 days for a total of about 400 Km distance and 15 Km of elevation gain. My typical route involves varied, low-angle terrain with a wide variety of snow conditions, mostly uphill on the way out and mostly downhill on the way back. These skis track nicely , hold an edge well, and, possibly due to the nordic rocker, they plow through new snow more easily than my old skis. They are lighter than my old skis which becomes noticeable during and after a long tour. Long telemark turns are easy but short telemark turns are tougher, but I did not expect to be doing tight teles or even parallel turns on these. The glide is great, even uphill and using the EasySkin. Its an amazing glide. The E109 Easyskin does well for long tours with more than a little elevation gain. I am very pleased with the skis and with SkatePro. Thank You.
