Description

The first page in the biography of Black Crows skis shows the Corvus skis. This was the first ski that hit the snow from this innovative and passionated ski brand.

The Corvus skis has been refined and is today a bit wider on the waist than the first editions from 2007.

These big mountain skis has 109mm waist width a strong and well balanced flex from the poplar wood core and the semi-cap construction with sidewalls under foot that provides good floating and power transfer properties.

If you are a deep snow hunter the progressive tip rocker and the light tail rocker will get you smiling when surfing your own way down the back side of the mountain.

Suitable for 90% off piste and 10% on piste.

Haven't had a chance to ski these yet, so the review is impressions of (1) the shopping experience and (2) a close inspection of the skis. SkatePro was a great merchant -- I was nervous about shopping overseas online (I'm in the US), but the transaction was smooth, shipping was as fast as if I had ordered domestically, shipping was included in the purchase price, and with the price below the import duty minimum I paid no taxes. The Corvus looks like an awesome ski. I'm most recently skiing on two pairs of DPS skis -- the Wailer 112 and the Lotus 120 -- and the Corvus is a heavier and more traditionally cambered ski than either of those. The wide part of the shovel is also further toward the tip than either DPS, making this a more traditional side-cut. I anticipate these will bust crud better and hold a stronger edge in firm snow. But that's an expectation, not an experience. Would definitely shop SkatePro again.
