Full Tilt is a ski brand that offers Full Tilt boots with the original 3-piece ski boot design. The Full Tilt ski boots are popular boots that have been worn by many professional athletes throughout the years.
Full Tilt was established in 2006 with the goal to reintroduce the ski industries’ original 3-piece design, that can be tracked back to the 1970's where a former NASA employee found out how you could use the design of space boots to make comfortable ski boots with a better fitting and functionality. He went to the headquarters of Raichle in Switzerland to show his ski boot design. However, Raichle wasn’t convinced, not until he jumped on the conference table wearing his 3-piece boot on one foot and Raichle’s boot on the other, thus demonstrating how his ski boot design flexed much better than the standard ski boot of the time. With a convinced Raichle company the 3-piece ski boots hit the market in 1981 and quickly became the preferred choice among pro ski athletes up until today.
In 1999 the production of the original three piece became scarce, and so in the 2000's Full Tilt chose to bring back to life the original 3-piece ski boot, and while still respecting the original design, they added some of today's modern features to the boot to improve it. The Full Tilt boots are made accordingly with their slogan “Comfort is performance”.
